This document is an agreement between a Writer (or Show Creator) and/or Director and a Production Company and/or Producer for either written material or services. It allows a Producer to right to shop the project before committing, also known as “testing the waters”. This is typically used when a Producer is looking for a deal with a Network or Streamer such as Netflix. Since most of the deal points will come from the Network, the Producer and Writer will negotiate in good faith should a deal be presented.
